  1. I have been fascinated with these things since I was a kid so I took a bunch of pictures at the CA Hot Rod Reunion to share. Maybe this will give a few ideas to fellow Hambers who are building dragsters. For such a simple part there sure are alot of variations. Some are really beautiful. I like the fact that they are hand crafted and built for speed!

This is a nice addition to your injector scoop thread from last years chrr. You have a good eye for the small details that make vintage dragsters so special. Thanks!

    This thread is racer's ****.:):):)

Ever stop and look at all the rear ends - most of them are chrome plated, and missing knacker plates!

Kiwi Kev ... Cool thread! ... and you're not alone in your fascination ... I shot a dozen (or more) pics of ****erfly steering wheels / ****pits @ CHRR '08!

Here's the only ****erfly wheel I didn't see in your batch of photos:

  19. Kev, great thread as usual. Here is a wheel I whipped up for my son's pedal car. I gathered a **** ton of pics of wheels for reference, and you aren't kiddin that there are a lot of different styles of old drag wheels out there. Good seein you at the Reunion by the way.
