Man,I think ALL Christmas Parades should be heldin the evening,,, years ago the one here was a big deal,,,the Christmas street lights hanging across the main drag would come on to signal the start,,, Marching bands, tractors pulling floats, antique cars, prom queens, clowns, horses and Santa and it lasted about and hour and a half. as a kid it couldn't get any better. Now the parade starts at 1:00 PM and it last maybe 25 minutes if that long,,,no interest,,,that's modern times for ya,,,HRP
maybe i've been under a rock or somethin, but the local parade here charges anywhere from 15-25 bucks to enter the parade. i would think that they would be beggin for folks
This was the first Christmas parade held in Powder Springs , the ladies did a great job and we all had a good time. I got a plaque from the merchants for being their favorite, man all you have to do is put nine strands of lights and a rein deer on the roof all powered by a thousand watt inverter and people take notice. After the parade the wife wanted to "ride around" before going home so we went cruising , flashes where going off going down the road. We stoped at Kroger to get milk and when I came out there where five people taking pictures of my truck , I said hang on a second and I'll light it up. It was fun , but whats really is funny how people love an idiot that will ride around in public in a vehicle looking like this. Merry Christmas to all the fine Hambers and their families.
