Sold/traded my 1988 Volvo for a 1999 Honda Accord V6 coupe: After some time, I purchased this 1970 Ford Torino and restored it: Then sold the Accord and bought the 02 Subaru WRX: Then sold the Subaru and Torino and bought the 03 Cobra, now has 625hp: And bought this 90 CRX from a customer, swapped the motor for a DOHC motor built by me and my shop foreman: Now have sold the CRX and am currently selling the Cobra to find a dd and a Model A. All this within the last 8 years.
I didn't technically "sell" my 72' Chevelle, which was my daily driver. I was building my 32' Ford coupe, but had run short on dough to finish it. During one of our illustrious Florida tropical storms, a 35' section of an oak tree broke off and landed on the roof of my Chevelle. It landed just above the back window, and rolled down onto the trunk lid, pushing it down to the trunk floor and crushing both rear quarter panels. Roof crushed, the windows were blown out, and it rained in it for about an hour until we got the tree off. The water was coming out the doors, along with about 10,00 bull ants which were inside the tree when it came down. I drilled holes in the interior floor to drain it out, and managed to drive home 4 miles, all the while fending off attacking ants! Insurance company totalled it, so I used the money to finish my coupe. I also bought the remains of the Chevelle back from the Insurance company because the motor (454) and driveline were still intact. I ended up selling that off a few months later, but could kick myself for not keeping the big block....
