I was in Las Vegas last week for work and had a little extra time, so we went to check out the Imperial Palace car collection.

I'd say it's worth the visit - If you decide to go, be sure to print off the free p*** from the Imperial Palace website. I'm not sure what they charge, otherwise.

Also, I had mentioned in another thread that I was in Las Vegas for the week. JarzenHotRods (Johnny) saw that I was in town, so he extended an invite to the Grand Opening of Frankies Tiki Room. On Thursday night, I went down there with a few guys from work. What a great change of scenery! It was nice to get off the 'strip'. Johnny is a hell of a nice guy and has a really cool '54 Lincoln. Thanks for the invite!

Pics of the Tiki event first:

Unreal...thanks for sharing. The white Mercedes knocks me out. What a nice mix. Easy to see how it all began looking at this stuff.

Well, that's pretty much all the photos I took - certainly not the whole collection, but a good sampling. I think there are between 250-300 cars there.

Hope you enjoyed the (mini) tour!

...and thanks, again, to Johnny (JarzenHotRods) for the invite to the Tiki Bar!
Be sure to keep us updated on your Lincoln, as you work on it.

Did you have a Bloddy Mary at the bar where they keep the Duesenbergs? They make the best in town. Looks like they have some new iron since I was there last, guess it's time to go again.

I was there 15 years ago. They have made some nice upgrades since then. Thank you for sharing the photos.

  16. Cool to see the collection has added some customs and modified cars. It's been 20+ years since I was there, and it was all heavy cl***ics at that time.

It was nice meeting you too Nick...Had a great time. The Tiki Room had its grand opening that night and is a defintie must go when you are here in town. I see they have a couple of "Bimmers" now at the IP..hahahaha...

All jokes aside Nick is a really nice guy and pleasure to talk to. Next time your out here drinks are on me.

I also see that they have alot of new inventory. I just went 3 months ago. I will have to go down there and check it out. You will never believe how much they want for that 40 Ford Conv...

Looks like Frankies would be a blast.

I think they will have no trouble staying in business for a long time to come.

    Long live Frankies!

Yeah, it looks like it wants to kill somebody too! Not the car I would have met in a dark and smoke full back alley :)

Damn Nick, we can't let you go to Vegas with out shooting the place up!! But really, Thanks!! for the great Frankies Tiki Room showing, man I love the huge Tiki with the red dice eyes!! Next trip to Vegas nets a visit to that cool spot. And I love that rare 54 Lincoln coupe, more H.A.M.B. love being extended, it is so awesome. I haven't seen the I.P. collection for a long time and it has really been updated with a lot more American cl***ics and way cool customs. Some neat rare ones in that joint, you always take good care of us folks at home, Thanks Brother!!~Sololobo~

  26. Looks like the collection has changed quite a bit.

Every time I've been there, viewing the collection was a freebie.

    Great pics, thanks for posting.

Along these same lines, there's a free car museum at the Riverside Casino in Laughlin.

If you're coming in from the Arizona side, cross the bridge over The River in the left lane, turn left and it's the first casino on the left.
About a 1/4 mile down from the bridge.

Be aware the collection is in two areas.
One on the 2nd story and the other smaller one with fewer cars is at the front of the casino behind the big plate gl*** windows.

    A worthwhile side trip.
Good food at the casinos, Harrahs at the south end of town has the best buffet.
    Half price for locals.
Rooms are quite a bit cheaper than Vegas as well.

Thanks for the pictures. I was there last month, the '58 Delray with factory 4 speed & fuel injection was my favorite.
