Lulubelle's about right for that, but he's in central PA. Me, I'm that old, too, but since my oldest daughter is 30, maybe I don't quite fit your definition.
yeah, i hear that. some guys just don't get it. i'd be lying if i said i didn't think some of the r.r.'s were cool lookin', but if i have my choice between a well done traditional rod, or a thrown together, rusted up pos...there is no comparison-give me that old school ride. Flop - do you belong to one of the local clubs (sacred pistons, drifters)?
41, but I've decided that from now on I'm countin backward! I spend all day teaching 20somethings how not to build rusty PsOS...does that count?
I am also in the under 30 crowd. 27 to be exact. I am building a 60 Caddy coupe right now, you can see some of my parts cars in the pic that Flop posted behind his car. Dont have any pics of my actual car though. We are both member of the sacred piston car club.
Nick... does "shakey" still have his coupe for sale? I looked at this a few weeks back and I've still been thinkin' about it
I live about 20 minutes from the Pittsburgh airport.... Nothing forum worthy at this time in my posession, but I work on my brother's '60 Studebaker sometimes... I'd always like to start a group for "wrenchin' parties"....
Im in that age bracket, barely, I'm 34 I live near Beaver Pa. would love to find some other like minded builders in this area, I'm putting a 1941 Chevy PU together at the moment, nothing to fancy just a good solid ride, built in the mid 60's style. solid front axle, mild small block and a standard shift. Ansen slots unchopped with 8' bed. Keith
exwestracer... i'm guessing you work at wyotech, since i see you are from latrobe? hillbillyhellcat... what kind of stude does your brother have? my good buddy just finished up a 63 wagon, with the sliding rear roof...its bad*** 383 240z... i hear ya. wish there were more guys around to b.s. with and work on our rides together. hell, i need to get out of the house but my friends who are supposedly into cars don't know anything about anything older than a 5.0 mustang so i'm stuck inside with the old lady driving me crazy!
flop... i have heard that your club has an old warehouse, what part of town u guys in? and no, i wasn't the guy with the 23k check...thats too rich for my blood!
I used to live out that way, then I got smart and moved away. Actually I lost my kob and had to move, no complaints though I am much happier here.
yeah we got a 6000 sq foot warehouse and me and my buddies have 5 bay with a big lot all in the same complex
When I was young, in New Brighton, we had Larrys Speed Shop, and hardly any Rods. Now I'm older, and living in (Paradise) still don't see any Rods. Even missed Beaver Falls show last yr. by 2 weeks. A hot car here is a Toyota/ Honda, with a CHROME exhaust tip, 400 speakers, and tinted windows. I just can't seem to be in the right place at the right time. Ice man
I run the shop side of a rod shop in Beaver Falls, Larry's is long gone but we have opened a real nice speed/rod shop about 4 years ago. Sorry you missed the Beaver show. I guess your stuck looking Giavonnie's cars down that way, your in the USVI they are in Aruba. Keith

I'm 36. Grew up in Pittsburgh (Sheraden, near McKees Rocks), but living in Carlisle / Harrisburg area now. My parents still live in Sheraden, so I get back that way fairly often.
Im 32 and live in grindstone Pa. About 40 miles south of Pittsburgh and Im building a 28 model A pickup traditional style running A flathead V8. And just built a 56 ford g***er for my dad. I drive a black 64 ford custom with a 390 3 dueces and a 4 speed and Im in the Drifters car club.
I am 18, soon to be 19 from about 15 min north of Pittsburgh. I am currently building a 26 Model T with a 239 flathead.
I'm 28, live in the mountains and drive a pair of f-1 pickups....with a couple others for parts and one that I am slowly restoring. I also am working on building a traditional 30 model a coupe. And have a bunch of other older trucks and parts....my growing pile of flatheads is starting to kick me out of my garage....nothing like laying in the snow building a car while yours tools and parts stay nice and dry in the garage.
I am 24 and live in eastern side of western PA near hollidaysburg. Technically i am central pa i suppose. But i can be in Pittsburgh in 2 hours! I am finishing up a 31 model a hi-boy and drive a 1949 f-1 and a 1946 dodge Dumptruck! I'd like to attend any meets or clubs that are somewhat closer for me than pittsburgh if you know of any near johnstown latrobe or altoona.
Add another...37 in Latrobe working on collecting parts for a '40 chevy pickup frame up build ,so far I scrounged up a drilled I- beam axle ,split and drilled bones ,59AB flathead ,'36 chevy pickup grill, 8.8 rear. Still need springs/spindles and hubs and figure out what wheels I wanna run then I can start mocking everything up....Also have a '64 comet getting some attention as an old drag car Jim
