I don't think I'd do much and I love customs. Spider caps, paint the interior, put marker lights on and go. Maybe down the road a new mill. The stance is killer and I love the semi sleeper/mild custom look and the color.

Yea well first thing I'm doing is putting in a rebel wireing harness and putting the small block ford in her. Does anyone have any good links on info about putting in a 289/302 in a shoebox. The factory harness is soo ****ed up and scary.

Also I've been thinking about running spider caps. Is there a name for the smaller trim rings that fit on the high spot just outside of the lug nuts. Thought it would look killer with spiders and the inner/outer trim rings.
Thanks for the motavation getting my *** in gear after the 1st of the year.

Your car is fab, coola boola Stumpy....I love it too......And I agree on the chop......there's nothin' like lookin' through a chopped windshield....I instantly feel like a greaseball when I get behind the wheel, and that's a good thing...... shoeboxes were designed when guys wore tall hats, and now they need a little off the top........

That thing is way kool. You got the score of the century. Get that overdrive square and run it as is for a while. PM me if I can help you with the overdrive. I have been forced to be experienced with them..

Color me envious. Shoeboxes are still my favorite, sometimes I wish my 54 was really a 49-50.

I've had 5 49-51 shoeboxes and 2 we're Maroon, same color code as my 65 Must. maroon, these 2 50's look like my 27 roadster which is a 95 Ford PU interior color called Cabernet, wine color, both are really nice rides...Bill

NICE SCORE!!! I'd practically kill for a shoebox in that condition! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe it is a '50 Deluxe. My old '50 had the same "problem" with the turn signal housings. They didn't quite follow the curvature of the body.

Good lookin shoebox man! Thats how I felt when I got my olds, it was a mild restore in the late 80s and i've done a few small things but not gonna do too much for a while, shes sits nice and pretty. Just the way I like her :) Do what makes you happy!

Sorry to dispute but the overdrive is engaged when the cable handle is pushed in....You may engage o/d while moving but it is not recommended to try to disengage while in motion...nice looking Shoebox!
