Though I'd say hi, just starting another project and I like all the info that crosses thru here. I'm a upholstery guy that does traditional old school style work, was trained 40 yrs ago by Tony Nancy and Denny Nish, got out of the biz to be a contractor for awhile but thats not working out these days so my part time exvocation is now my full time job. Started up a few years back so I could trade upholstery work for stuff I needed building my 64 chev to save a few bucks on the build, but I really enjoy this work and get alot of satisfaction out of it. Anyway hope to meet some new friends here and share good times. Cowabunga Dudes
I am new here as well, and a native Arizonan now living in NM, I am hoping to do a traditional style upholstery job in my 39, hopefully in May.... After thinking for a moment, it might be that my idea of traditional is different than yours,,, I was wanting a more plush version of an original style, and original style cloth interior for my 39...
Original with plush newer materials sounds great, I just try to stay away from the new style HARD LOOK .40s 50s and 60s it what I do
Yea, 10 years ago a "modern" interior kind of appealed to me, now not so much... In looking around I found a green 39 on the Lebaron-Bonney website that is kind of an upscale restoration, but I freakin love it.... I want something like that but since they seem to be pretty much restoration only... well you know...
Nice to meet all you neighbors, working on a old school, steel wheel 38 chevy pickup. I am definitely in the market for some traditional upholstery. Working on the body now. dillo Chandler az
Nice to hear from you Tim, I am definitely interested in some upholstery done by someone old enough to know what it looked like Couldn't figure out how to respond to your email. Larry
