I sincerely doubt my film will ever see a movie theater, but then again, who's to say?

The slogan is more likely to be: DEUCE OF SPADES coming soon at no theater near you LOLOLOL...

    :D

I still think we will make some big screens, underground theaters, such as car shows and drive-ins possibly?... It's looking promising there..

    IT'S OFFICIAL!!!

IT'S A WRAP FOR THE FLASHBACK SCENES !!!!

    say what??????

Yop, you heard me. Last night as of 9PM we completed the last flashback scene and packed everything up. :D

Now I regroup, edit it, go over a few other scenes and tighten them and start preproduction on the remainder of the film aka: The modern day scenes.

I expect pre-production to only last a couple weeks spent mostly auditioning additional cast for the modern day parts.

Then we dive right back into the mouth of the volcano and film film film until every last scene is done :)

    Oh yeah!

    Keep Up the Fantastic work!
Do you plan on entering your film in some "Independent Film Festivals?"
If you have time, can you tell us the next process, after the film is completed?
I'll understand if you don't have the time
    Thanks
    Steve

All props were donated by hamber Allan Songer of OMEGA CINEMA. Thank you Allan! Your props really made our scene come to life !!!!

Note: This is our jail set, recycled, and this was entirely filmed inside my garage... NO, I am NOT kidding.

Yellow and Pastel Yellow was offered in 1954 on the 500 desk set. I collect and restore these. :)

But the 554 (wall set) didn't show up until '55/'56 with the colors trailing by a few months - early ones were offered in Ivory and Black. People loved 'em so much, there was even a waiting list for the early ones!

    Here's some coolness from '56:

    And '57:

Hi there :) - OHIO eh? well, here is a cute story. I was reading old HOTROD magazines from the mid fifties, preparing for the Saugus dragstrip scene when I found an article about the "Ohio Cam Jammers" car club and their President "Otis". They were starting to organize dragraces in their area. So when I filmed my gas station scene, showing a new guy just arrived in town from another state, I picked Ohio. And when he introduces himself to Johnny he says: "My name is Gary, but everybody calls me "ZIP". I'm an Ohio Cam Jammer".

    :D

In a take, showing him on the phone at the gas station, talking to his old buddy back there, he even asked: "so how is Otis doing?" ;) but I think that take is going to end up on the cutting room floor, because it was too long of a monologue... The actor was improvising as he went...

Still, cool that I was able to weave in little authentic details like these in the fabric of my otherwise fictional story.

FAITH - I am still working on my Avatar! I just figured how to use my digital camera! (to busy working on Hot Rods). I still cant figure how to text message! One of these days I'll have one of my nephews give me some lessons on how to work all of these newfangled digital contraptions. Car is basicaly a 29 on a 32 frame with a stock 57 "283" with stock rams.I made a bracket to lower generator down.It almost rests on the frame.I think that they look better lower.

Do you still need money for the film? I can't donate a lot, but I would like to help out if you need it.

    Hey Faith

You have our cd (Hot Rod Hucksters). Did you decide to use any of the songs in the film? If you want to use for a soundtrack CD, feel free to send me the form.

You bet! And very badly so. The donations received so far have helped me absorb the cost of the last 2 flashback scenes (out of a total of 42 )...

I'll let you do the math... :(

But I can't tell you how encouraging it is to me when I get a donation, even a small one, just to know you guys are wanting to help out. It may not cover all the cost, but it helps me immensely.

    So thanks again !
