I had my dad post on fordbarn. Looking for a model a coupe and this guy call. So the other day I hooked the trailer up and took a 3 hour drive up north. Only 30 min from my hunting spot were I was last week. The guy opened the barn door and there it was. A nice 28-29 coupe and a nice 28-29 roadster cowl and a **** load of parts. I thought for sure I was going to be two trips but we managed to get it all on the trailer and in the truck. I sold the roadster cowl to my dad. I still need to go thur all the boxes of stuff and figure out what I'm going to do with all the **** I'm not going to use. All I wanted was a body but there was no way I was going to p*** up the deal that I got Plan for the body 32 frame cowl steering blown 425 nailhead 4 speed quick change 4in chop gloss black paint that's all I got so far but I need to finish my buick first anyone want to buy a 57 Buick half done?
Another Nailhead-powered Model A comin' outta your garage??? Cool! Can't wait to see this one at Autorama, too!!!
This shiznit only happens in BFE. Here in Cali, the guy woulda had his *** full of Barret-Jackson hubris and asked for your left NUT! Nice score, though.
Thats how I got strated in Model A stuff. Cleaned up for an old guy getting out of the hobby. I got piles of stuff including a '28 phaeton body which I traded for a '28 roadster body....
GREAT SCORE!!! It's nice to know there's still some left in Michigan! If you got the Model A frame with it and you're gonna sell it i would be interested
After selling off all the parts Im not going to use. I ended up paying $1000 for the body. Im pretty happy. Now I just need to finish the buick. So I can sell it.
Wow! Road trip in the snow with a whole load of new found parts. It just doesn't get any better than that! Sometimes the journey is as much fun as the destination. I feel like a kid at Christmas looking at the photos....
