D/FW TEXAS Hambers State Fair Party- Roll Call

I had previously posted an idea that I had been checking with the State Fair of Texas to allow us to display our cars within the Cl***is Car Corral. This would be a section near the automobile building. This year they are going to have 3 sections. I have been given approval to display cars with in an 8000 square feet section near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. We have been given the date of October 3rd. I have been told that we could get 20 to 25 cars within the area comfortably. There are benefits to displaying your cars .
* Parking credentials will be provided for display vehicles, tow vehicles, and trailers.
* Parking for tow vehicles
* Fair p*** for yourself with additional for extra person
* Future participation
* Most importantly is that it is free, great opportunity to hang out with people we all know.

If at all possible please respond on those who would like to enter so I can provide a head count back to the fair.

 

Hmm....I wonder If I could get my car painted by then...

 

This sounds like TONS OF FUN!!!

The Texas State fair boasts over 25 fried foods.....

but i really never got to go
it'll be cool to check it out
her car might be ready for that show too
maybe we can say it's a tow rig so we can make beer runs
in it i bet the beer there is outta sight

That's what a couple of bottles of Crown and a purchased coke from one of the consession stands are for...
Buy a coke, go to your car (that is parked inside the fair) open the trunk, pull out the Crown and fill er' up....

Then go find the spinniest, loopin-est ride and ride it!!!

We went last year and had a blast.....
The weather should be perfect about that time of year!!!

The State Fair begins Oct 3 thru ??....Dont forget the Blast from the Past, Dennison I beleive it's the 3rd weekend in October?......Burnout Dudes!

 

i am so pleased w/ myself. looks like the fair will be all coolows, i dont think HC car can make it that far south in 1 day

too be honest..im not gonna make that...thats gonna be a melt down...after the drags im gonna be tapped out.i plan on heading for austin at like 11 or noon on friday..thats gonna be too much.

** I placed a call to the guy at the fair and left him a message regarding the date. Hopefully we will know something by tomorrow.

If the dates change I am sure I could get CaddillacMatt to take his ride and the Wagon if you guys would be interested. The Caddy is bagged now
and the wagon will soon be laying body.....

OK - I just heard from the guy at the Fair and was told that October 3rd is the only day available this year. He understands that there was some conflict and understands that we might want to show out since 2 other car clubs will be there. He advised to get what we can together for this year. So those who can make it please do.
