The Zetec is mine, Hilborn electronic fuel injection, header, T5 tranny and in my 29 lakes modified. The Offy is a 270 fresh of the dyno at Van Dyne Engineering, 430 hp at around 7000.

    Well, you didn't say FORD.

Here's my choice when I build one. A chivvy. With stock cross-flow head. OHV. They ran them at the flats in the day, with minor upgrades. I'll prolly put it in a model a chassis,

This is one of my favorites. Some sort of injected midget engine. What are those hub caps? I need a set of them BAD!

Brent in 10-uh-C: other HAMBers should know that the Lingo head is a home-built cylinder head built by John Lingo in his tiny workshop under his house. Builds 'em from steel plate and weld-ells, uses SBC valves and springs, 272FoMoCo rockers pushed by 6cyl p-rods. They make for a nice running 'A' or 'B' banger.

The Stewart Family garage happens to be home of the world's fastest Ford four cylinder flat head. I don't have any pics right now but I'll get some soon. Besides flat heads we've also run Cook and Cragar OHV heads and a Rutherford OHC head in our '28 roadster. We hold a number of records at Bonneville.

This one showed up in me email. Anyone interested should ask 4-port riley for more info. I believe this banger was used to power a lakester to 145 MPH at Bonneville this past August and I'd be willing to bet there's more speed to come.

Thanks A-Zonie for posting the pic, posting is beyond my capabilities, but I can build a pretty good banger. It did run 145, on 3 cylinders because the #1 intake rocker stripped it's adjuster and was working little if any. The turbo is a 60's Buick blowing 6 lbs of boost. Im using 2 of the 4 barrels in the carb, on straight alky. Next year will be better!

Here's a pic of the lakester (with crew) that the turbocharged banger in msg #113 powered on the salt in 2008.
