O.T. computer help... please!

Every time I try to open a pdf file my outlook express address book trys and fails to open the file... I don't know why my ADOBE isn't trying to open them I even completely deleted my address book application from the computer and now when I try a pdf a little window sez it can't find my damn address book!! what's going on??

 

did you delete your address book or just the contacts in it?
and how did you delete it? for example in your c:drive/windows etc..?

might be you dis***ociated your adobe somehow from auto opening them files

I'd uninstall adobe in add remove programs and reinstall it, windows ain't the most reasonable OS and sometimes things just unexplainably happen

also if you have system restore go back a few days when it was working good and restore it to that point

 

right click a pdf file and pick "open with" a menu dealy will pop up click "Choose program" then click Adobe Acrobat ... hope it works ..

After you do this make sure to check the box below the list of programs that says Always use this program to open these files

[/ QUOTE ] I deleted the whole thing from my C drive, the real aggravating thing is trying to load pics from my digital camera, the software uses ADOBE to automatically load the pics, now it says- can't find wab (windows address book)

 

if you have a windows restore option give that a try first or else you can put your window disk back in and reinstall it, if its XP I am not sure if reinstalling will format your drive first or not? I think its safe to do in 98 and ME

 

not getting "open with".....only getting "open"
I'm going to try a "system re-install" tomorrow or it's Dell vs Uzi this weekend!
