she is an icon of the era. she was true beauty! she was was adventurous and strong! she has been my heroine. I recently completed a pin up photo shoot with all lot of her cl***ic shots and poses as inspiration. You and your beauty will live in our memories. RIP dear lady

I was stunned when I saw this running at the bottom of my Local News this morning..it's a very sad day indeed..She was a stunning woman and a true legend! God speed darlin'! All us boys down here are gonna miss you!~mojo

 

WHAT?? NO WAY!!! That totally ****s!! What a sad thing to hear this early in the morning..She was the best there ever was!! I hope they let her go out in true style..The funeral for this icon should be mega !!!!!GOD SPEED BABE!!! YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!!!!!

 

It was really sad to hear this, depressing in fact. R.I.P. Betty. First we lost Maila Nurmi (Vampira) and now Betty. It's only natural that we will lose all these great icons as time moves on, but it really leaves me wondering who will be carrying these styles and images forward. There's a lot of wannabes, but will there be any more "great" icons?

Poor Bettie suffered bouts of schizophrenia in life.No bats in the belfry or "cocoa for cocoa puffs",just a poor lost soul.
