I snapped a bunch of photos while Jimmy White was working. He doesn't get much of a chance to take photos much less post them. Here's what I saw at Circle City this evening...

We fired the 33 up for the first time last night!! That car has been one of those nightmare builds, that has been fighting us the whole way. I think we had victory last night! The story with the 56 is a really cool one as well, We are basically re-creating the customers car from 1956-1957. In 1956 he went to the Ford Dealer and bought a brand new 56 Ford minus the engine and ******. He then went to the Cadillac dealer and bought a brand new 56 365 Caddy engine and ******. Him and some pals completed the swap, and proceeded to have one of the fastest cars in this area. The only difference between now and then, is that the owner is in his 70's and wants to have a few more creature comforts. So we installed power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. I am honored to be working on this car, the customer is a local legend, and has done alot for Hot Rodding!!

Courtney whats up man. I'm a longtime SeveredTies TX member. We met years ago at HeatWave and have crossed paths several times over the years. I'm sure you won't remember me but all us old guys miss seeing you at the truck shows. Everyone was sure praying for you when you had your health issues. Hope we cross paths again someday, take care. If you get the chance to come to TEXMEX in march I think it would bring back good memories of how the truck scene used to be. Take care.

Hey Court, you didn't pop in and say Hi even though my shop is only 4 or 5 doors down from Jimmy? whazzup with that? ;)

Jimmy is that 56 for Harold? Kind of makes me wish I hadn't sold mine with the 460 in it.

    That Jimmy White...he's ALRIGHT!

Dig on the roadster's dash and how it effects the doors.

You can't see this on those stupid TV Shows. Very cool story Jimmy White and great peek into the CCHR shop.

Jimmy White is one of the nicest builders I've ever met. I was in SoCal and looking for something to do when I saw the OSR article on his grey coupe. I called him up and he told me to come down! Nice guy, great cars, love that '40 dash.

Isn't that black nailhead A running the magnesium wheels from the grey coupe? What is that car doing these days anyway?

Jimmy is too modest to tell many people this, but he basically saved that roadster. It was a big pile of hacked up poop when it rolled into the shop...

Now, that is a good story. Try going to a Ford dealership and trying that one these days. "Hey, I want a Mustang, but your motor options just aren't good enough and I want to drop in a better GM motor. How much off for a new car minus the engine and trans.?" :D

Well, on second thought, giving the current cir***stances :(, they might just be happy to sell you anything and then actually even thank you for it for a change. :) Just like the old days before they decided screwing your customers was a preferred business practice.

The black 31 Ford is featured in the new issue of Rod & Kulture. Maybe Jimmy and Curtis will have it out at the Mooneyes Show this weekend.

I've seen it in person a few times throughout the build and I can confirm...

It was rough!! And it has had some masterful work done to it. I can't wait to see it done...

    Congrats Jimmy!

I dropped in on Jimmy earlier this week to see what he was up too. Man I dig that '33 roadster. A real detailed build!!!!
There is a '27 roadster in there that is going to be *****in too.

Jimmy is the man!!!! If anyone is looking for somone to build their car, He is the one to do it!!!!
