If I remember correctly it was $19.95 BUT Micheals is ALWAYS running a 40% off in their framing area. They also have 50% off coupons in the Sunday newspaper.
Lets see if I can explain this without sounding to much like an idiot. My buddy wanted to display all his blister packs, but didn't have the room for a case. He went to Home Depot, found some cheap plastic window joining seams that are in an 'H' shape, and are sold by the foot rolled up. He ran the seams vertically up the wall, then stapled them to his wall by stapling vertically through the center of the 'H'. Did that on both sides, and a staple horizontally across the bottom pinching the closed. He did that on both sides, then he slid the sides of the blister packs down the side channels of the 'H', and was able to rest the bottom of one pack on top of the one below. Protects the packaging edges, the car is still in the blister, limits sun UV exposure, and it was simple to add on more rows of cars to the existing ones. Did an entire wall like that. Got the plastic seam material really cheap. It may not be a nice case, but at least his are out, unlike mine.
This case is made with a 4 inch piece of brushed aluminium bent 90 degrees and pop riveted at the corner, 1/8 gl*** front and melimine back.
This is hook panel board (what I had on hand) painted black with stained 1-1/4 wood strips down the side and then stained 3/16" wood screen strips across. Really the only thing that matters here is the 2-1/2 opening between the strips or whatever you use. No need to show the whole card, allows the blisterpacs to slip behind each other without stress on them and you can still read the ***le. 5-1/2 between the cross strips for card holding blisterpacs.
My son swiped all my dad's hotwheels and they are now ****tered about my house..........friggen landmines they are...dont step on the ones with fins, they'll cripple ya! It's a conspiracy...my pop thinks it's funny...damn old guys........
I used to buy the "100% Hotwheels" and random cars I liked. I displayed them in a clear plastic case I found from who knows where. now I "display" them in free US post office Priority mail shipping boxes in my closet. I guess I lost interest. here's a story for redline collectors... my best buddy Jim p***ed away at age 33 in 1993. I'd known this guy since we were like 13 years old. I saw a for sale sign at his mom's house and stopped by to say hi and catch up. she said she was having a garage sale the next day and knowing I was a car nut like him she mentioned that she had a box of his Hotwheels she was going to sell. she brought out a mint carrying case to show me. I popped the first tray out and told her there was easily $1000.00 worth of Hotwheels in there. she was going to sell them for 1.00 each!!! I took them and sold them for her on ebay and got $1700.00. there was like 40 something cars in there with all the ****ons. they were all wrapped in tissue. she said he never played with them, just collected them. if I hadn't drove by someone could have gotten $1700.00 worth of original redlines for 40 bucks or so. is that what dreams are made of or what?
