  1. Is the 3M Stripcaulk available at Home Despair and similar places?

My 32 needs a touch of something in the corners as well.

Here's my favorite 30/31 roadster and it's at my favorite place too.
It's currently totally torn down for some repair after getting hit last March. It'll also give me a chance to make sure I got all of the salt out.

  5. Neither car is mine.

Mates car was built entirely by him including the 32 ch***is.
The car is all steel, except for the lift off roof, made up from cast off panels and swap meet finds.
Its powered by a 37 flatty, single rail 4 speed and 8 inch diff.
The roof was made from the roof of a 34 fibergl*** 3 window coupe that was cut off to make a cabrolet and is attached where the windsceen stanchions attach and the original screen is kept behind the seat for fine weather driving.

Hatch, I didn’t know you’d sold your roadster. I loved that car. First prewar car I’d ridden in, albeit only for a few dozen feet. Oddly, my favorite detail was always the finned caliper covers. I thought they made the disc brakes look nice and old timey.

I’m late, as often happens, chiming in here. But not so late I feel like I’m wasting my input. Here’s the cream of my 1930s Model A roadsters photos:

One from Billetproof Detroit; channeled and with the radiator dropped down between the Deuce framehorns:

    One towing a teardrop trailer:

Either a stocker or a resto rod wearing ’35 wires:

Early highboy on a stock frame:

One from the Detroit Autorama with the inverse of the popular paint scheme (glossy red with black steelies):

A pure stocker, but could be a good one for the ‘banger crowd. I love the look of a folded top – folded windshields too:

One with kind of an upright, “dude” look that I got for comparison with the “perfect” car below:

My favorite, the “perfect” Model A roadster, IMO:

One from the Pasadena Roadster Club Reliability Run:

And finally, what’s not really a roadster but probably a cut down truck or sedan. A genuine Mac Woods dune scooter:

  14. where did you come up with the piece that bolts where the factory stanchions were and goes across the cowl? ive seen a similar setup on a few other cars but im confused as to if this was an aftermarket item or did everyone just fabricate them all similarly?

That is a dashrail from a 30-31 firetruck or mailtruck. I had a tough time finding one. Here's a more recent pic that shows a little more of it. Its a bolt on fit once the stantions are gone, but I'm going to modify it to fit the doors a little better one of these days.

  22. A few more of mine.
Mainly to show how painting the white fenders to match makes them look not-so-huge.

    A three quarter view.

The car sits lower than it appears . . . that due to the car is up on jackstands and the suspension is hanging down.

I have a pair of 29 fenders I may install.
They're 1" narrower than the 31's and the tire fit/appearance is a little better with the 29's.

This pic has the bobbed 29 fender on it.

This pic shows how the body fits on the non-pinched frame at the firewall area.

Contrary to appearances, I'm getting a lot of the small stuff done.
It's a lot easier to do it now and I've found that things you put off during the build are tough to get done later.

My 30 roadster. Will be hanging all the sheet metal back on before spring along with the 30 radiator shell, original A headlight and drop bar.

Couple pics of my POS. I wish it was a nicer car, but at least I can work on it. Hoping to be driving it again by the end of this month.
