Custom taillight pic's wanted for project

I have a 51 Merc with Rivie tailights,which I don't like.I'm having a hard time figuring what taillights to run and where to mount them.Any help would be appreciated.Thank you.

How about something REALLY radical, like '51 Mercury taillights? I haven't seen them on one in years!
Seriously, though, those Riviera lights have got to go!

Why arent ya doin the taillights the way they were when the car was in Car Craft in 57?

 

I'm seriously thinking about it.I also like the exhaust going through the bumper ends and the flathead. I ordered that copy of Car Craft to see a better picture of the taillights. Still waiting for it.I just thought I would get some other Ideas.Just keeping my options open.
