  1. Not really a show but the Polar Bear Cruise is a good time on super bowl Sunday, If you have heat. Not sure on the particulars but im sure someone on here has them.

Your are right,it does not have to be a "SHOW"
This is the kind of stuff a lot of folks are interested in.
Not only the big name shows but the local little guy get togethers like this.
More of this stuff is what I am looking for . Thank you for your input.

Best show, in my experience, is the Frog Follies in Evansville, Indiana in late August. Put on by local car club, Evansville Iron, and all proceeds go the charity. 4,500 plus cars, all pre 48.

There is not a date for the Bombs Away Bash yet it will be held in the Peoria area as it has been for the past two years. It will be sponsored by the Bombers CC. More information to come.

    Swap Meets are okay too!
Anything that has to do with the kind of cars we enjoy on the HAMB.
I will except anything that fits into the "300 miles from Chicago" theme.
thanks to all and keep 'em coming...
I will update thew list in the next few days

Here are two of the best anywhere regardless of the midwest location.

    James Dean Run

Fairmount, Indiana - Hometown of James Dean

    September 25-27 2009 (Friday-Sunday)

Swap Meet, Large Number of 49-51 Mercs probably in the 200-300 range, Traditional Kustoms, etc..., Two James Dean Museums, Gravesite, childhood home, etc...

    2500+ Cars Always Changing

    Ducktail Run

Gas City, Indiana - 15 Minutes from James Dean Run

Flamethrowing, paved bumper to bumper crusing, swap meet, HAMB Meet & Greet

September 23-27 2009 - Wednesday (set up begins) through Sunday

    3000+ Cars Always Changing

Early Duck Cruise In @ Missisenwa High School Thursday Night, September 24. 500+ Cars

You can easily cruise back and fourth to each show in a few minutues.
