Mystery Frame....

  1. I know the pics arent the best but.........

    Does anyone recognized What kind of Car/Truck this frame is from???

    need a picture showing the back half of the frame to tell, but the only difference between a car and a p/u frame is the body mounts that rivit onto the outside of the frame about 2/3 of the way back on the car frame. It is my understanding that otherwise the frames are the same.

    There were only small differences between car and 1/2 ton truck frames in those years, what has me confused is the riveted in gussets off of the front cross member (like a 1933 Ford), I don't remember these on a 35-40 frame, Also the pictures are really hard to see anything specific on,.........

    My old 39 frame has these gussets. They are usually not so prominant, but since the frame is upside down... :)

    (I think we are talking about the same gussets)

    i have seen 35-40 frames with and without those gussets i think it just depends on where they came from
