I'm not recommending it either way, But I have seen AMC Pacer front ends under
    F-1's.

The other option is to use Dodge Dakota components on the front crossmember made by El Polacko, local H.A.M.B. suspension guru. Steve owns Industrial Chassis in Phoenix and developed the Dakota crossmember for Ford pickups. The Dakota track width is about the same as the original Ford and the parts (A-arms, etc.) are built for a truck not a compact car like the Mustang II. Like was posted earlier, go to this link:
    http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...re-1948-1960-ford-truck-related-articles.html

and you'll find all kinds of info on ford trucks. The article on front suspensions is very good.

I'm using El Polacko's Dakota front suspension on my F1.

  7. ...those will work;...64-72 Malibu, and 68-74 Nova (and clones of these last two) will work great.

The S-10 clip will work, but it's just narrow enough to annoy you...

I did a 73 nova clip and will have radiator support in this weekend. i had to cut about 1.5 of the nova clip to slide into the 52 f1 frame. I am on a budget and didnt give a fck who hates chevy clips in ford. I bought the nova complete for 300 bucks. you can see pics at www.sinnersaz.com in projects secion.

    Dick,
    Noooooo! :-(
I wish I was further along so I could take the frame to Steve and have him do the crossmember install, frame boxing, tranny crossmember and torque arm install. My job and "other" things have kept me from being able to work on the truck. I have been collecting parts and have most of the electronic boxes for the Powerstroke control. Next up is to acquire the engine and tranny. My daughter is getting married the end of March so you all know where my "spare" money is being spent by daughter and wife/mom.
