50 chev 2 door project

hey there hambers im looking at getting this car and need some help on which way to go with it. taildragger? mild custom? i dont really know. im getting a set of stack headers from another hamber and thought they might look pretty cool sticking out of the engine compartment with flamethrowers of course. that sparks another question whats the best way to set up a flame thrower set up. thanks

 

Yeah, tractor pull headers on a custom are going to look real *****in....

 

um.....I would check out 50chevy.com and browse through the hundreds of pics on there to get some ideas....might want to rethink the headers/flame throwers idea.Just my opinion, Good luck...

dont have the car yet, working on a deal to trade my 75 vw baja bug for this rust free 50 chevy. just thought the headers would be cool and differnt

thanks for all the words of encouragemwnt fellas they are really appreciated. nice to no that all you people want to stick with the ordinary and are afraid to build something new and differnt. this was just an idea i had and now that you all are doubting my plans it makes me want to do it that much more. you act like the car would be completly destroyed by a set of headers, i wasnt planning to run a hood if i did this so i could take them off and have a normal exhaust, nothing that couldnt be changed. but hey what can i say but its nice to know that you guys have no vision, or desire to try something new

 

oh I have vision, but the stack headers idea maybe if it's a g***er styled look with no inner fenders and a big blown hemi sticking out of the engine compartment, not an inline 6 slammed on the ground... but hey it's your car.

nothing is set in stone yet just wont my car to stand out from the crowd. dont want people to be offended just might save the stacks for a fenderless truck, havent done any sketches but when i do i will post the sketches to give everyone a better idea what i was thinking didnt think something so small would stir up such a stink.
