Nah, I think it's a rare car from Canada called a "Fudge Tunnel". It never caught on because of the name.
Don't drive near a pasture or any large animals, they might see it and want to "Get It On"..........haahahaaa couldn't resist. I bet you could teach your kids to french kiss with that thing.......or the birds and the bee's.
Has the same basic shape as an 'Edwards'... but there are too many details that don't jive. http://www.96trees.com/edwards/edwards.html
That little car is a gl***-bodied "special" or "sports car" conversion body. It likely sits on a stock factory ch***is. There were several hundred variations of these type of bodies available from dozens of manufacturers starting the mid-50s through the 60s. In the 50s most were designed to fit stock/modified factory ch***is and the 60s brought the huge use of stock or modified VW ch***is pans. Some were marketed as " conversions" while others were made up as complete or near-complete cars. The Venus from Houston seen here on occ***ion is an example of the complete car end of the market, others include the legendary Woodill Wildfire.
This one is a very much cut down '47 Chevy car, uses stock sheetmetal and parts all over. Neat looking for sure, I wonder if the hood was sectioned down.
Sure doesn't look like a production car with those floorboards, LOL. And is that a super-rare inverted Pontiac emblem in the steering wheel???
Yeah, I knew the front end would give it away. . .but it's cool anyway. Started life as a '47 Chevrolet COUPE!! The doors were cut-down to resemble those on an early MG or Jag roadster and are just tacked together. Never did see a hood lying around anywhere, but as you can see, the rear quarters have been severly wacked before construction stopped. Perhaps the owner didn't know where to go from there. Would make a really cool car if finished. Too bad a tree fell on the left rear fender. Happy Holidays to everyone!!
ok it was a 50's kit car-had 41 studebaker chasis ,frame--49 studebaker motor straight 6 ,body was one piece, never customized was built like that---he sold it to a guy in california said he had one just like it at home--didnt know what it was he just liked it
Is this on a 49 thru 50 Ford ch***is? There was a post on here a year os so about a gl*** body made in Tx, using Ford Ch***is,,If these facts match, I will see if I can find it again..Larry
Do you have any images of the rear? Powered by what? Is the frame type known? Any paperwork? What was the car registered as...? Where are you located, and where does the car live now? I'll try to find something for you, I love these mystery cars. Rodney
