I am probably going to add an early 1950's corvette grill to my car but was wondering.....has anyone used bumper guards for a custom grill.

There seems to be a lot of cool bumper guards out there and was thinking what others had come up with using bumper guards for the teeth. Pics would be great for inspiration.
    thanks

Saw a custom at Frisco's with a row of the small early style VW bumper guards. looked similarly "toothy" to a Desoto grill.
THey were repops so readily available from VW shops.

Funny...10 years ago when I first started building my Hudson, I had just sold a 59 Beetle, and ordered 10 bumper guards from the local VW shop so I could do the same...

I had the same idea. I thought about 10 54 Ford front bumoer guards would make a killer grill. I love the 1950 Buick cow catcher grill, so I would like to replicate something like that. Any pictures of custom grills???

hudsoncustom, I've also thought about the bumper guard idea for my Hudson. Anyone got photos of such a grill?
