So i've seen the winter threads on here about avoiding salt and snow and everything, and as it's currently -7 here in the cold north i can see why you southerners wouldn't be envious; BUT, there is a certain pride to starting your carbureted v8 in this kind of weather and listening to it purr in the morning, knowing the technology on it has been practically un-changed since it's first inception in the 50's... Although i hate seeing my "OT" 68' c10 full of salt, the prospect of using it as a vehicle, as it was intended to be used, gives me a certain 'good' feeling. it's still keepin up with all them new-fangled rides on the road today! (not to mention it's a gas to get sideways in) does anyone else drive something "old" in the winter and really kinda dig it, despite your best efforts to be mad at the snow/salt/cold?
This is my daily driver and I really enjoy driving it in the snow. I wash it off once a week and will repair any rust that develops in the spring.
