Station wagons were ALLWAYS considered grocery getters, BUT they did have some useable parts. Here Is a photo of what happened to a 1953 ford country squire wagon that was left at our station because the clutch went out. When thew time came to haul it to salvage we decided to make a coyote wagon out of it. Hey, it's traditional it has a FLATTY!!
Yes it was! Being the Youngest I was NOT allowed to shoot the gun. So I would ride on the right with bionaculars and spot the coyottes, once we had one in sight it was balls to walls to run it down. Back then the county was paying $12.00 for the hide and $2.00 for the ears. on a sunday afternoon we could make sometimes $28.00 each IF things went good. The most fun was once the snow had fallen. Then you couldn't what you was about to hit!
