Okay since I have 4 beater non matching rims or tires, I figure it's about time to get a set of nice tires and rims. I think I am going to run stock style steel powder coated rims, beauty rings and spider caps.

Anyone got pics of their chevy with radial whites? or pics with a set of 6.70 bias? would g-78's be too big for the 54?

Thanks for your help in advance.

BTW: running Coker WWW on mine. Wheels are 15" from Wheelsmith and caps are original 54 Bel Air but with a chrome bullet in place of the crest.

Heres my old 54 with Radials.
If I could do it over I wouldve gone with the bias ply's without a doubt.

thanks guys! This will help me most definately. I think as far as bias goes I will run 6.70's they look perfect. I am still contemplating radials............bias plys just fit that shit though!

I ran 6.70 x 15 Goodyears with a whopping 4 1/4 Wide white.....Closest thing to having a "G" series tire without rubbing. Very nice ride!

Just for reference, heres a 51 Hardtop I had, with 205-75-15 Diamondback radial www's.

But I bought 6.70-15 Firestone bias for the current 51 hardtop I'm doing, just cause I plan to sell when done.

I take it you made your own whites? Or do they actually offer those?
