I came across an interesting piece of history today. I have done a little bit of surfing the net and the HAMB. Can anyone shed some more light?
Do you actually own this? or is a reprint from a picture? Maybe you can find out from edlebrock company.Gotta be one of the holy grails of rodding. JimV
Not to take away from the terrific find above, but here's one I got last summer. Basics were, we thought we were going to join a 120 mile or so rod run and it turned out to be for Harleys. Three hot rods and maybe 100-200 Harleys. One of the bikers gave it to my pal and he gave it to me. Kinda cool and an appropriate number for running in a Deuce.
you actually have this piece ? i would contact edelbrock directly and try to talk to vic junior himself , if that is an original i'm sure he would love to have it for his collection , probbably off of one of his fathers early cars , my dad took a tour of their factory and collection durring deuce week and vic junior still has his dads original 32 stand up guy also !
i heard vic jnr once telling a story that he as a kid gave some of these away to his friends or trading for some candy because he didnt really know what they where all about...im sure hes going to be stoked to see that.
What a wonderful find! I'm sure Jr. would love to see or have it for his collection. Things that, as a child, have little value can become a pricless reminder of your father.
Do you have a better shot of the top part of the timing tag? Vic grew up in Vinland, Kansas about 30 minutes east of Kansas City. Chris
