Amazing work. Necessity IS the mother of invention! I bet you know now the guy felt after he whittled out the first wheel!

There are going to be a bunch of people scratching their heads at shows trying to figure out what's different about this car. Clean and simple, almost looks like the factory did it. Keep up the great work.

  6. Travis, you are a mad scientist! Looking good. As you know, not many people would have taken that body on as a project. It's come a hell of a long way since I saw it.

I've been watching this '40 build religously and I've logged a bucket load of good tips from it. Good stuff man!

it's screwed up my thinking for sure!

I'll have the finish window-seal-lip part on here in a couple days...

Wow, this was a good one. I had no idea what you were trying to do at first with the mold pieces, but it really looks great. I think I remember the tech you did on chopping the top.

What do you plan to do with the rear section of the car? Making a mold for those quarters? I'd like to see. Great work on the cowl.

Ok this should almost wrap this one up...

Had this irregular pressed piece that fortunately didn't throw away...

Amaxingly enough it resembled the window rubber lip that was needed!

    a little t*******...

    Some splotchy tig-work...

    and a little blending...

I still need to file that wavy part,
but i'm thinking of joining another piece inside first.
not really able to until the dash is in though.

At least its complete other than that little corner chigunk.
