    My peaked headlite bezel is my favorite.
    Origninally they are completely round and smooth but I wanted peaked bezels so a couple of different things were tried and roadstar ended up brazing a peak on the original bezels and Earl Schieb continued the peak on the top of the fender.

    And the home-made fittings that go with it.

    I don't know if these features are the most interesting details to anyone else, but I like them.
    My home made interior including the seat, horn button with original art work and the Aristocrat Dash. Also the fuel tank and battery box.

    Neat brake and clutch pedal set up! Had to look at it for a minute but then it started to make some sense!

    The tail lights on El Tiki.... they are the cups from vintage ice crushers with early 60's bezels.

    The 3" splitter tips on my GTO.

    I built them to look like the optional factory tips that came on these cars, on steriods.

    They're built from 304 stainless just like the rest of the 3" exhaust system. The gravel shield on the front tip was cut from a piece of thin wall 4" 304 tubing.

    lots of good stuff

  25. Yeah, I know only one interesting gizmo was called for.
    The oil/air separator is probably more interesting to me than anyone else, but here's one that fascinates most people who see the car.
    Most look, wonder and walk away.
    Some will ask.
    In 15 years of running the car, only 5 have figured it out.

    The front spreader is also a skin-effects radiator/cooler for the trans oil.
    [IMG]

    Works well, only place it warms up higher than I want is on the really twisting mountain roads.
    Even then, not a prob, a 10-20 minute stop at a view site brings the trans temp down enough to drive the rest of the climb up to Sequoia Park from the south end.

    The converter is a 2400 rpm stall model and a tighter one would probably run cooler.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Kerry, how about a few words on whittling out the V-belt pulleys.
    I can think of a couple ways, but am curious how you did it.
    Would be a good tech post as well.
    From the most recent build of mine...
    Has to be the 55 Chevy dash i put in my 52 Chevy truck.
    Not finished yet so the truck hasn't even seen the road, but that seem's to be the center or attention whenever someone see's the truck.
