mustang radator in 32 grill shell

    some pics of my 66 mustang rada. in a 32 grill shell[​IMG]. Got it new from napa if you look at the pics you can see how i had the mounting brackets swapped side to side , so new the rad mounts into the grill shell , which gave 2" more clearance between rad and water pump. Some one posted here before looking for pics .

    It's a bit short for the grille shell, don't ya' think?

    My buddy has one behind his '32 shell. worked great. cheap way to go.

    Just make a small panel to fill the gap...or spend the extra $600 for the "correct" radiator.

    I made a filler panel on top of the radiator on the one I used.

    And it works great! The radiator works perfect! The roadster never gets above 180 even in the southern heat!

    How about raising the radiator in the shell and making a filler panel for the bottom. There is already a filler panel at the bottom of a stock '32 shell so it might look like an extension of the stock piece and be less noticable while directing the air to go through the core instead of around it. Behind the insert it might go unnoticed.
