Heres my junk a 57 S-series. I'm not trying to talk you out of it but the 50's cabs are huge and look like ass without fenders. If you want to do the rudy style find a smaller older cab. Good luck,Pool.

My brother has a '50 L-110, now that he's retired maybe he'll have time to work on the thing. If any of you guys have an extra straight, rustfree grille, let me know...

actually, no. i won't use bondo or glass or anything like that. i don't like billet, and don't want it near the truck or even in the garage. i want it to be a safe driver that my fiance (wife) will be comfortable driving. no digital guages or anything like that. is it that way now? no. probably won't be for years to come. and between my dad and I, we've done all the work in our spare time just like most the people on here. there's a chance i might get a 327 from a friend, and depending on how that goes, i might put that in there. as it's been said before, pistons are tough to find--i'd like to have an engine that can be worked on anytime, anywhere. if something goes wrong, i'd like to be able to pull up to a local auto supply store and be able to find the right gaskets, connecting rods, whatever. easier to do with a common engine compared to a stock obscure straight 6.

Nice those pics bring back some memories. My truck is a 1955 IHC R110. The truck is mostly stock but i put air ride with stock axle and no c notches. [IMG]

  11. I found what was left of a 34 35 binder in a swamp. The "International Made in Canada" emblems from the hood sides went for $110.00 on Ebay and got sent to Oz.What was left of the truck was strewn through out the swamp!

Are those the fenders I see in the background? Put em back on...the last thing this world needs to see is another rolling turd "Rat Truck". Stock, low performance I-6 with zoomies (?), how gay.

im not really worried about performance... i do know that i dont wanna have a common engine , and i think if the truck is done right ( which it will be) then it will look good... or at least it will to me

I have a AS110 (Aussie assmbld). Has a 350/350 combo with a Aust Chrysler Valiant rear end. It is fully restored as far as the body goes with new Auto Meter gauges. Has 17" Cragars and the bed is fully lined with (Aust) Jarrah hardwood.

The firewall had to be cut back 2" to accommodate the power train.

The stepside is off a mid 80s Chev and looks quite good.

Still riding on original suspension with drums all round. I have no idea how quick it is, and probably wont know until I get around to putting IFS and discs in.

We had an International dealership that closed down in the 60's. I have 4 n.o.s. fenders. Year unknown. Had the stock #'s in back. I believe one pair to be 40's, one single about '37, and one single about '34. My guess!! If they will help someone, they are very cheap, Can send pictures. PM me. Joe.

I know the thread is old but I was looking for more info on Internationals because my father-in-law has one sitting in his back yard.. don't know much about it but its a '52 International and that the original motor is in running order but could use some fine tuning. It has an 8' bed. Here are a couple of pics. Thinking of making it a daily driver....what do you all think.

I rescued mine from the local junk man, whom had it laying on its side in a pile of washing machines. Its a pretty much rust free 40,000 mile cab that was rolled around and speared through the roof by a fork lift. The cowl is pushed in at the top but I think I can bend it back out.

I just couldn't live with it being crushed, it as too solid.

    I also have a '48 KB-6 and used to own a '56 Pick-Up.

My brother-in-law got the International in a trade and gave it to my father-in-law when he retired 10 years ago. Now he just wants it gone. Everything is pretty solid on it (even the bed). Nice save...btw. We are working on the 57' 210 right now so unsure if we want to take on another project.

Above truck also came with some neat junk inside, it was just like some old farmer quit driving it. Gloves, a nail apron with some Big Boy looking character on it, old oil cans and stuff. The seat did have pretty decent upholstery on it, but I left it out in the weather and its destroyed now. I have no idea how that stuff stayed in there throughout its journey of being rolled around a scrap yard (We actually had to roll it onto the trailer, and load it laying on the roof) The cab had been unbolted from the chassis and fenders, everything unhooked, and hauled to the junkyard. I'll never understand it.
