WoodArt - I bought all of the interior, window, and insert bows for my 5W from them. Took a while to get the parts and they are hard to get ahold of - but the pieces were very high quality and all did show up eventually. Seemed like it was a small shop run by an 'older' fella, which explains some of the communication difficulties and reliance on telephones. I think they were a little pricey too for the cost concious...

Top bows - I bought all three from Labaron Bonney and was happy with them.

Tack strips - WoodArt told me they didn't make them any more but that Labaron Bonney had very good ones, although they were 3-piece. I ordered 2 sets. They are nicely made and the 3-piece part isn't that big a deal, just use glue and dowels. The problem is that they don't insert into the reveal on the body at the ends........ no problem on the Brookville but not acceptable for a stock bodied roadster. I'm either going to have to make them a 5-piece unit or go to a fine woodworker and just have some custom made. I can't find anyone that makes them 1-piece that insert into the reveal. But then again, I'm only assuming that they are actually supposed to do that - maybe somebody can clue us in??

I bought the wood for my Henry bodied car from Oakbows and with a little sanding it fit into the body fine and bolted down. I bought the wood for my Brookville bodied car from Lebaron Bonney and it bolted down to the top of the body fine. Owning both bodies, this is the only difference I can spot on a finely finished Brookville.

  6. Yeah, the rumor was right. The LaBaron tack rail piece is not so great... fit wise.

I'll make it work. Been waiting for my friend to bring some wood tools over so I can reshape it. I'll post a pic when I get to it.

That Oak Bows piece was amazing... fit perfect, no triming. I only ordered the header piece as all my other wood was in great shape.
