I like the way you think and build ..... I too built a Coupe 25 years ago with the floor under the chassis.

  3. Kevin... love your car! That nose Zack put on is cool....

This summer I finally fit my 38 Ford standard hood on my 34. Almost finished it, now I'm tearing back down for an insane new drivetrain so I can race it. Gonna finish paint too.

It will no longer will be a street car....roof is getting hammered. Not like you or Lucky though... you boys are insane! hahahaa. Great job on both cars...

Thanks Reggie - This is probably the latest photo I have.

Fitting the doors, trying to get all of the seams welded up and getting ready for the rollcage. Lot's of stuff happening at once when I get to that point. Fitting the seat, steering, and pedals. (with engine and transmission mocked up)

That's going to be one sweet ride, nice job I'm jealous my next project is locked in a shipping container out behind the shop snowed in. I have done allot of work on many different kinds of cars on one of my many rotisserie's and they make life so much easier for sure. One thing I like to do from time to time is support the frame were the axles will be with out removing it from the rotisserie. I use one of my lifts for this but a set of tall jack stands works good also. In a pinch you can stack cinder blocks and put jack stands on them adjust height with shims of plywood. When you have a frame on the rotisserie its held out there by the ends most often 1 to 2 foot from the axle points and there is some flex in even the strongest looking frames. I hate making posts like this but would hate to see you get it down and the doors, hood, or trunk don't fit like they did when it was up on the rotisserie. Please don't take this wrong just want to help and look forward to seeing more on this project.

  14. I REALLY dig your driveway! I like the coupe too but your drive is so neat and clean looking. Is it stamped concrete?.....I know it's not what this thread is about but sometimes the toybox is just as cool as the toys in it.:D

I really appreciate the thoughts on the rotisserie. And actually right now it is back off of it and setting on stands. I happened to notice some defection and decided to get the center crossmember with some temporary diagonals and most of the cage in place before putting it back on.

It will probably be back on and off a few times before it's complete.

Thanks for the compliment on my driveway. It's actually all individual pavers. I'm finally stoked to have a decent crop of moss showing up between them each Spring and it's lasting through Summer and Fall. Keeps the weeds out and looks cool.

I have not read the whole thread so forgive me..Heres how I built a rotisserie..went to the local vintage aircraft salvage yard, doesn't everybody know of one!? bought a surplus Radial engine stand with a worm gear transmission and crank onnit, geared such so one guy can turn the crank and spin the whole engine..buy two of them or fabricate a stand with ball bearing universal center mounting at the other end..connect them at the bottom with angle iron that slides and bolts on itself and Bingo..my Buddy with the salvage yard sold the stand to me for $400 might be more now....
