  2. Very nice on both ends. MHO, Solid red lenses, keep the gaudy out of the build.

Cool work. Have an unrelated question: A work bench is in your first picture......'splain the drawer underneath or whatever that is with the handle and the papers stickin' out. regards

Not a work bench! More like an amateur work station with a drawer and a vise.

Nice photos and clean work. I have been having the same debate in my circle. I have a '49 and dont care for the stock lights. For some reason mine look cross eyed to me where the factory mounted them on the back panel. We were tossing around the vette lights and the packards,....and also the 50's merc lights.

I have not seen any like yours and its a good thing. I'll have to chase down your other threads. Did you post any other work you have completed?

I don't think that I have ever seen a car that I actually like those tail light on until now. Not only do I like them, I love them on the rear of your car. Your buckets and work is spot on and you really have done them justice. Awesome!

I agree, for the most part, the 59 Caddy tailights have been overdone, but done right, as you have done Ian, they still look great.
My buddy has '49 Merc with the '59 Caddy tailights, that look great. I know, you are saying, that combo is way overdone. But what makes it "OK", in my opinion, is that he built the Merc in 1959, and he used the Caddy tailights then. He may not have been the first, but he was one of the first.
    AGAIN, grrrreat job Ian.
    Jack
