What are you doing on this Christmas day?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by oj, Dec 25, 2008.

  1. Cooked lunch for my actress friend Claire Gordon at her place on Lord Bath's estate,
Roast potatoes, roast parsnips, fresh carrots, leaks, sprouts, etc the works,
good feast, a couple of gl***es of wine, and good smoke to round it off.
    Quiet, but ok.

Not much, just enjoying the time with my daughters and their husbands, (and my four day old grandson, the first) here in Boise, ID. I have two daughters here in Boise and one in Spokane WA. We always meet in Boise for Christmas.

Presents were opened by 9AM. Played a few games with the kids. Took a nap. Pulled my carb parts out of the cleaning bucket and blew them off. The carb is to my 49 Plymouth which was my Christmas present. Drank a Genny Cream Ale. Ate. ... and The Christmas Story has been on the whole time.

It is about 70 degrees here and pretty ... so I got my faithful, trusty old roadster out and went for a spin.

Later this afternoon, we have a church service and afterward ... the wife is fixing a nice Steak dinner. IT is a time to remember those of us who are no longer here, cherish the ones we have and remember the reason for the season.

My father in-law and me just got back from our traditional Christmas cruise. 26 degrees out in a '32 ford 3-window with no heat got a little cold but, we were the only rod on the road. It dosen't matter how cold it is, just as long as there is no salt on the road we drive it. Good times.

Wife cooked an awesom meal, she's a great cook bytheway, all is well, everyone got what they wanted most. This afternoon I went out to the shop and tore down that lil' 327 i found last week and getting ready to take it to the machine shop on Monday.
I'm on vacation all next week and looking forward to getting some things done on the Coupe,
God bless all my HAMB family and merry xmas:D

Worked in my shop this AM. Chopped wood for the woodburners in the house & shop this PM & went to a freinds for their dinner & drinks.

The eve ended up in "Gravy Shots" after Beer Wine & Tequila.

"San Diego style gravy shots" Dressing on your wrist, gravy in a shot gl***, slice of turkey --- then a gl*** of beer as a chaser.

Lucky I'm from Michigan & now live in Oregon

I cant believe the nice weather you guys are having back east, I tried working on my 29 sedan this morning in my open carport until the rain and hail storm knocked the electric out and put a end to my fun, so tommorow I am planning on how I can enclose the carport to make it more winter friendly.

Worked 6PM yesterday til 6AM today. Slept a few hours then got up to help my wife get dinner ready. Hosted Christmas dinner for family and friends. Spent some time after dinner just enjoying the company. Got ready to return to work at 6PM. I'm at work now. I'm keeping the lights on for you.
