Here it is...1936 Ford Pick em up. Channeled 6 inches, 1936 Flattie(in all its glory), split bones, 1948 Dodge bed with a Ford tailgate, juice brakes, and a whole lotta love. I took it out for an illegal drive and it was great. I really should wire up some sort of lights though. I'll keep ya'll posted
Im encouraged by all the feedback. Im not that good at welding yet and this truck has been a learning process for sure. For one its my first flathead. I actually went away from my favorite mystress the chevy v8. This truck is sort of a platform to see how nice one of these flatties is. Second, its my first staight axel car. I used to be into mucsle and cl***ics but the primer, wide white wall bug bit me bad. No matter how hard I tried I couldnt justify putting WWW's on my 64 Nova. It just wasnt jiving. So to the surprize of my wife the Novas gone and the most *****en Rod to ever enter my life is a reality. WHOOOO HOOOO and YEeeeeeeAAAAA HAAAAAA
Nice work. Set's nice and low, and you can still drive it. Good photo's, esp. the peek-a-boo though the wood fence. And that old '60's Chev in the back-ground, is that a member of the herd? Great ride, mister.
Hey Ratster... I live in Knoxville. Are you a part of the Greazy Hubcaps? Ive seen and admired your cars in the NSRA show at Chilhowee Park for the last couple of years. Do you know of any auto swapmeets around here? Later
Good looking truck!!!! Is that linoliom in the bed or did you paint the checker board in there? Can't beat a flat head for that just right look!!
The checks are painted. I dont think I like them though. It took forever to paint and Im not happy with the results. We'll see what happens.
Hey, cool truck! I like the "use what parts is available" approach to building - works well on your truck. There is a small swap meet at the Shades of the Past show in P. Forge after Labor Day. I plan to be at that show. One of the best swap meets in your area is Maggie Valley, N.C., 4th of July weekend. Later, *****6
