00 MACK for Christmas

    So i got an 00 mack for Christams, and 4 cans of paint. White Black Red and BLue. Never striped before and this is what ive been able to come up with over the last day. let me know what you guys think and leave any advice you guys got?!?!

    What type media is that you are pulling on??? I was told to proactice on glass or an old mirror but I don't remember why.

    Looks pretty good overall for the first time. I am hoping to get into this for the first time this coming year as well.

    just using wax paper tear off sheets for spreding bondo, i herd its better to uses glass aswell...
     
  5. cool Christmas present...looks like you are off to a great start...they are a couple of cool dvd's out which show some exercises/practice drills...

    paint a pane of glass with some black spray paint, flip it over and practice on the non-painted side.
    then you can blade off your practice and re-use... No mirrors.
    Looks good for your first attmpt man!
    Get a stabilo or china pencil and draw a centerline to make things easier on yourself.

    Yeah dude so far so good. keep it up. my advice for striping on glass is to powder your hands to eliminate the skipping that happens when you drag your fingers down a smooth surface. and like pinstripingbygato said a center line is always a good idea. KEEP IT WET MAN!

    I was also told to use a piece of thick glass too ! It's easy for the brush & paint to glide plus easy to clean .
