56 tbird drag car

    Hey guys any info on a certain website I should try to find out some info would be great,thru the last year i havent really came up with anything
    Below is a letter i just wrote to Hot Rod Magazine
    But i think you guys would have better answers for me to find something
    I m posting the pic i do have from when it raced --the other pic is where my dad is at right now with the car---i know some of u guys like to know what it looked like when he bought it--so i know as usual it was bad(but ill try and get /find a pic

    I am presently restoring this 56 t-bird an old 60's early 70's drag car.Sponsored by century speed&sport and driven by mike surian out of long island,NY.Later raced and owned solely by Mike.Car has stickers in rear window from NHRA,AHRA,AHRA New york national speedway,&Suffolk countyraceway,Westhampton-Long island NY,NHRA Record Holder
    1970 at Suffolk County Speedway it ran somewhere around 10.27 and 130mph.I've seen the (presented)fender cover and have approx 30 trophies.My question is How do I better do***ent this cars history.Who do I call?How/where do I get info on the Internet?Or someone I could call?
    Car ran a destroked 327 to 318"-?
    Pontiac 6:18 spool rear end
    Super T-10 trans
    Hillborn injection,magneto
    Stock steering-Xmember cut,Rear wheels tubbed around 1970?Mercury stationwagon taillights---This car is should be done soon.Metallic Maroon with Silverflake Non Porthole top.Optional porthole top with vinyl top being kept for later.---Car ran at Sullolk County,NY National speedway,Englishtown,Island dragway in NY

    Yes, But I just got back from a few days on LI. Short answer Bob old owner of Century Speed was alive as of last year and living down the road from Lebanon Valley Dragway in NY. I will get back to you with what I can. Do you recall the MG in my avatar it raced during the same period, same tracks.

    Rosa have you checked for reginal racers reunions or even contacted the track owners .cars that have won will usualy be remembered by promoters .ps I love the car .craig

    Rosa did you try contacting SK Speed? They are a speed shop on LI and had tons to do with drag racing back then.

    Were are you hiding all these cars.:) I live over by Briawood Plaza in So. Seekonk. I'm sure I've seen some of them in p***ing but don't recall. Must be dementia.
