what are you using for a radiator--the only one i could find that cleared the steering box was a fiero but i had to mount it at an angle to clear the hood--it runs very hot in heavy traffic--wont heat up as long as im moving--im old school junk yard parts--dont want to have one built

Yes 40Standard, it's a 41 Hood, I still need to weld up the extra trim holes.

I'm looking for another 40-41 hood, preferably in the Wisconsin area so Louverdude can punch some holes in it for me before I get my hands on it.

I think I took about 3 inches out of each side, I just measured door to door, allowed for an inch clearance on each side and cut out the difference.

I also fabbed up 3" tall risers utilizing the stock S10 sliders.

The radiator is a 26 X 16 radiator from Speedway. According to my research it should cool a mild small block. I tried the 27 x 19 but no dice. It either hit the hood, steering box, or sway bar regardless of how I mounted it.

Nice to see some folks are still building whole pickups instead of just pieces of them.
Good job, can't wait to see the finished product.

Afraid not Bruce - as you can see in the pics I've got some serious issues with the wheels - the front hit the outside of the fender and the rear hit the bedsides. I ordered some steelies with the proper offsets but the rears are on backorder - I should have them week after next - that's the only thing holding me up.

Thanks Shoe - I think I'm gonna paint it a really dark solid blue. I may have to run it in primer for a while to work the kinks out, but it's definitely getting painted.

The A/C was part of the plan from day one. This is gonna be my daily and will also get a lot of miles put on it going to shows, etc. this year. Looking forward to seeing you and the Coop as well.

Baah! Summit said the wheels I ordered last month would be here TODAY, now they're saying it's gonna be 2-3 more weeks. The story changes every time I call. Between that and the shitty job the trim shop did on my seat it's been one craptacular week.

I'm dying to get this thing on the road for some shakedown miles!
