I knew this body wasn't perfect, but it looked pretty decent compared to what I usually drag home.

Those sweet rocker panels? Nuttin but Bondo, fiberglass and chicken wire.

The lower cowl piece? Yep, it's fucked too.

And, the whole lower 8 inches of the car look like this. Yep, that white stuff is Bondo stuck to a hunk of angle iron.

One of these days, I swear I willl drag home a nice one...just not this time. She will be ready for teh HAMB Drags in 2010, shiny black with a big ass Pontiac motor.

    Wish me luck, -Abone.

I really love junk! What kind of plans do you have for it?

  8. channel it and leave those rockers at the curb

  9. Grew your fingerprints back already from sanding the Merc, huh? ;) I see this one painted black and done in 18 months, beating your old record.

You and Jim Sibley make the rest of us look like amateurs with what you start with! Can't wait to follow this build.

Well at least you don't have to spend time and money getting it acid-dipped to save weight for the track! Mother Nature has done the work for you and a fine job she ahs made of it, I must say.

well if you were into doing another custom, it could be a channeled ride, but I think you were looking for something to test your panel building skills. and there is no way it is worse then the Merc or henry J. both were turds

Looks good to me. I bough a '40 Coupe body that was so bad the seller gave me my money back once I got it on the trailer.
