getting my first paycheck from an actual job after 5 years of selling car parts on ebay.

This past august I got my pickup running, it was my dads truck that he got in 1953 and he started to hotrod it....In 1964 he started a business and never worked on the truck again....Fast foreward to 2004 I got the truck from him and started working it over...August 27th was Dads birthday and I drove over and picked Dad up and we went cruising and had lunch and ran around in the 33...That was the first time Dad EVER rode in the truck...Dad past away just a couple of weeks ago...I will always remember the smile on his face when we pulled out of the driveway....

Hanging out on the salt with my best buds during the 60th Anniv of Speed Week! I really learned a lot of stuff about CO drag racing in the 50s & 60s during lunchtime in Camp Singlefinger. (never found out who was faster, Holmes or Rodwell...)
I especially enjoyed watching the faces of the teenagers when I let them drive the roadster around out there!

Looking forward to an even better '09!

Just extra glad for the simple things we have - wife, kids and myself are all healthy, both of us are still employed and "loving??" our jobs, my eldest daughter got her first job and is on her way to independence, and we both can enjoy this great hobby of old cars and meeting new people.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year !!!

Firing up my Model A after getting the new engine dropped in with my dad's help. This after having the engine in and out twice and rebuilt as many times as well.

Getting rid of the wheelchair and walker after the accident which destroyed my Model A and could have easily been my last ride.

My wife telling me that my 1.5 year old grandson had a conniption when my daughter took my TRJ from him. Apperantly he has been thumbing through the issue and saying Vroom Vroom!. My daughter feeling the book is very valuable to me would not let him handle it. I taught my daughter to weld and drive when she was 9-years old and she was my sidekick for several years until...BOYS! I was pleased to hear her son was showing the hotrod gene. Now he's my sidekick.

I like some others, 2008 has been pretty crappy. Lost my dad and my aunt within a week of each other this summer.
The high I guess I'm still staying out of trouble and so far still have a job when so many have lost theirs.
