I traded my project for this real 48 Austin g***er. There was a piece of aluminum covering up this hole on the roof. I just figured it was some sorta after market sun roof hole from back in the day. I was kinda right its a stock moon roof hole with out the metal insert. I looked on the net and cant find one.... I would like to find a stock metal insert. Do any of you know were I can find one? Here's a picture of the car when the last owner found it See the hole Im talking about if you have any info please let me know...
If you are going to use this as a street car I would fill the roof, the standard sunroof makes wind noise and can leak, if you want to fit one you need the standard channels to be still in the roof, and make sure the donor roof has all the parts and works!
I would fill it in, you should be able to find a donor body! Unfortunately I am now without my A40 G***er project, it was sell it or dont eat. Hey I have a fat gut to work on!! I would love to see more of that now and as you build it! Cheers, Doc.
The foof already has the factory hole still. Im looking for the metal insert and rails. The car is mainly for drag racing thats why I dont want to fill it. I like the stock look of the closed sun roof. Any help finding that parts I need would be great. Thanks guys
Not too many had the sunroof, most just had a full roof. I honestly have never seen one with it!! So it will be factory with it filled. Doc.

Dude use some aluminum and a piece of the tinted plexi gl*** that is gunna be used on the rest of the car and make one, it wouldn't open, but it would look cool. And it would make ridin in the car pretty trippy.
