O/T CENTRAL FLORIDA HURRICAINE UPDATE

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by SwitchbladeTeeth, Aug 15, 2004.

  1. Sorry, I haven't posted much at all recently but just a little update from Orlando and other places. Everyone in my circle of family and friends that I have spoken with are OK. I am lucky to have power and cable right now. I have a few pictures to share it might be a few before I get them all posted. Sounds like most of is folks in Orlando got lucky to not get physically hurt, most are mentally drained so just keep everyone in your thoughts.

Also I did speak with Hot Rod Walts wife/gf/fiance (dont know) She said they were fine, it was rough and Walt was already out helping his friends and neighboors.

Same for Orlando, It is amazing. The pictures are mostly from my apartment complex and some surrounding areas.

  5. yeah, I saw mike Saturday morning, I walked over to his house from where I was staying to check and see if everyone was alright. He and his family are fine. I havent heard from Nads but I personally am glad that he and his wife had the HUGE oak in his yard removed a couple months ago. So I would venture to say they are alright.
any more questions from anyone just holler.

That's pretty rough. My parents evacuated from Port Richie the day before, headed back home afterwards, then had a tornado watch two miles away.

Glad to hear everyone is safe down that way. All we got in Jax was some rain, next day it was sunny and about 85°.

  7. Justin, can you get to Nads house?

  13. Update, Spoke with Nads and all is well. He is with his family and relatives. His neighboorhood is suposed to be pretty bad so I am not even going to try and get there. But I am glad people are well and everything.

The only thing I know people are just exhausted without AC.

I also ask along with AUTHORITIES that people in and coming to the area not go ´´sight seeing´´ just stay clear and let people that are working work without trouble.
Its funny that a lot of people are eating really well because those with power and or grills are cooking everything so it doesnt go bad.
    Gotta go check in later...

  14. bttt, good to see Nads finally got back online.
seems like clean up is going fairly well in the areas.
The credit union I work for opened without power today, and looks to be doing the same tomorrow.
    .....
