this dweeb just doesn't have enough fun tokens to swing the trip at 10 MPG at two somthin a gallon, for one (albeit good) day of fun. it'd be a different story if i knew i wouldn't break it racing but i can't risk having to try to figure out hauling it home! and my car still has it's billet wheels on!

 

I'll be there, but I don't know what I'll be driving. The Roadster's up on jacks. The Rocky Rambler was just removed from the barn yesterday, after a 10 month rest, the 18 Dodge Mod hasn't even been started on, (still yard art) And the Minibike isn't painted, and it's in pieces. I've spent way too much time working on other people’s cars, to work on my stuff. Right now the Rocky Rambler looks to be my best bet. It hasn't been driven, or started in over 10 months, until yesterday. It did start on the third crank when I removed it from the barn after all that time, amazing! If I bring the Rambler, it'll be on a trailer. I don't own one, so there's another problem. I want to have a good day at the drags, so driving a car that's not proven, isn't going to happen. I don't need to miss the drags because of a broken down car. So I'll be there. Dean

I know about 5 of my Missouri buddies going that aren't registered. (they're rebels...) I figure for every one registered, there are at least two people going that aren't. Should be a pretty good turn out.

By the way, Root, the Henry J is NOT going to make it. A guy from Massechusetts saw it on the Gasser Madness site and decided it needs to go home with him. Done deal. She's gone...

Guys..I'm SORRY. I know I'm a panty-waist bitch. I built this car for the sole purpose of waxin ass at the Drags, but I couldn't pass up this guys offer. I can build my next two cars with the money the Henry went for.


For the record, the Henry would have DESTROYED all competition in the street class. This car would wax the shit out of my Model A with out breaking a sweat. The car is truly insane...

If it is any consolation, I will be there in the Model A again this year, lookin for a shot at the title. Also, this winter, the Model A gets a quick change w/ nasty "Joplin Gears" for whuppin ass and a puss gear for gettin there.

AND, I'm workin on a deal for a 53 Studebaker basket case. Look for her to make the S. Carolina- Bonneville- HAMB Drags run for 2006....Stay tuned...

Actually, I bumped in to this guy on the Gasser Madness site. I sent him a pic and he said, I'll take it, NOW! He has a Nostalgia Drags in two weeks and wanted the car in time to shake out any bugs and get used to the car etc...

I truly feel like a puss. My kid was PISSED. I'll have to let him drive it tommorrow before it goes....(yea, he just turned 7. He is a DRIVER, BABY!!!)
