Hi, just dropping an introduction. I'm the proud owner of a 1956 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight (4dr). I've restored a few cars in the past. Nothing fancy. But this olds is the nicest project I have ever started on. Great car, but being a 4dr (w/ B pillar) I don't think it will be worth a bunch to me to restore it to original, so I've been looking at doing something 'special' to it. Thought this forum would be a cool place to go to find help and ideas.

    Hi,pete from N.B.
I've got a '56 as well-4 door holiday red and white.I know what you say about the 4 door thing but if you ever get to see a 98 restored as original, they were a pretty good car with lots of goodies. Why not stick with it.I bet your car is solid as a lot of western cars seemed to survive without the salt. With the internet now, lots of parts are available too.

    Hey Pete
yeah, just spent some time working on the car today an I'm pretty torn between tweeking it a bit or going stock
I might just lower it a bit, skirt it and put a continental kit on it, but other than that will probably leave it stock.
