Rich the trans was short. single disk . ran well into the 9's alot of fun wish i still had it .........i gave Dave Crane a early ford rear with late axles and a t/10 trans shortened.. about a hundred years ago, the trans would be killer for your deal

Awesome! Do you think any tracks will let you make a p*** with it? Before I fell in love with the longer Dragmasters that is exactly what I had in mind.

hey kerry, dont tell anybody but i want to run it at the hamb drags! i thing our local track, south of chicago will let me in. im going to run it somewhere!! even if its in the street! i went 120 wall on all the tubing to make it strong. probably will have to run a cross tube over the top of the roll cage, so i dont break my dam neck. thanks

We used one in a flathead dragster in the late 60s. Completely solved the breakage problem we had with the '40 Ford boxes. As noted above, used second and third gears with a side shift. Turns out the shift linkage was a little different than the Ford trans. On the first p*** with the new transmission, it really bogged off the line, but really buzzed after the shift.... oops....

    I think you are.
Barring bad shifts, that ****** will take all a sbc will give and more.
Probably the strongest stock manual ****** ever built. IMO.
Ran one in a Caddy powered Henry J.

The Lyndwood rail I'm restoring ran one, ALGON injected 327, held a B/D National Record for a while, and many event Low ET's. Only thing I know the car broke was a flywheel.

LaSalle box is fine, just add a good ****tersheild for the flywheel. They parked the Lyndwood in 1962 after the flywheel let go.
