Anyone have any idea where I can find either headers or header flanges for an old Buick 215 V8? I would rather find flanges, so I can make my own headers, but at this point I would gladly look at ANYTHING! I have been looking off and on for over a year now and no luck. I am going to run one of those motors in a fenderless roadster I am building, so I would like to build lake style headers. Any info??

Try Sanderson headers in south San Francisco. They likely have the flanges and if not may be able to steer you to someone that can make them for you. You could always take an exhaust manifold to head gasket and use it as a template in making your own flanges.

  6. I have a set of Sanderson lake pipes that I will be running on mine. Scored them on eBay several years ago. I doubt if they stock the headers. But I'll bet they have some flanges out in the shop hanging on a nail.

I'm building a set of lake headers right now for a customer overseas.. He has a 215 in a 27 roadster...

Rover has all the tooling to manufacture them... I think they still make them but under the rover name.. Lots of Hot Rods in Europe have the 215..

Newer Range Rovers 1998-2005 run factory tubular headers that will bolt right on to the Buick 215. Even if you use the flanges and need to modify the headers to fit your ch***is, you'll be way ahead with $$$.

  12. I talked to a guy at Roundup that said he could make some headers for the 215.

I think I will be going the Rover route.

I'd love to see a pic of the 27 Roadster powered by a 3.5.
I'd love to see pics of any T or A running a 215 Buick.

    Thats my game plan too.

Headers by ed can make you the flanges 612-729-2802..
D&D have tons of Buick / Olds / Rover aluminum V-8 parts and also carry headers and flange kits.

Im working on a stroker Rover 4.6 with 64 Buick 300 heads myself.. Land Rover dropped the Buick 215 architecture in 2004 when Ford bought them and started using Jag engines in the Land Rover

    Another good resource is..

http://www.britishv8.org/ Lots of good tech articles..

Also Woody at the wedge shop knows quite a bit about the high performance end of these engines.. http://www.thewedgeshop.com/

They make some cool tri-Y's for the TR-8!

Sanderson might have a set made ready to go. For flanges only D&D in MI would be your best bet.

D&D in MI will have adapters to run any new GM ******, the stock ones are junk.
