Hello. My name is Alex. I found this site while doing some research for some car specs. I'm 23, from Houston and not too long ago I purchased one of my all time favorite cars. A 1964 Chevy Impala SS w/ a 350. Not sure what route i'm going with it....but it's definitely a blast to drive.
Welcome from Texas! Looks like a damn good start you got there! Those make killer looking mid-60's kustoms (a.k.a. bell flower style cars!).
I'm from the North side of Houston. Aldine to be exact. For me audio is a must. Thinking about going with a RetroSounds HU for starters. Pretty much have that already planned out....just waiting on the cash. lol For now i've just fixed some mechanical issues. Nothing big.
I hope you aren't gonna cut up the dash to put a big ugly CD player in there, or have visible modern speakers, hide that shit! Lots of guys from the Los Cochinos car club in the Aldine area, they had a cool party last weekend. Too bad you missed it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=317510&highlight=los+cochinos
Nope. No cd player. I either want to get an original radio and hide the HU or go with this one from RetroSound. http://www.retrosoundusa.com/ I want to keep the audio as classic/stock as possible but with good sound. Oh...that makes sense now. I saw a lot of those rides at this years autorama and I see them every now and then. I also have a Banquet Hall off the Hardy Toll rd and I see them every now and then to.
nice 64, welcome to the madness. our xmas party was off chrisman and aldine mail rt. my shop is around the corner on reeveston and lauder. stop by any time.
That's awesome man...that's about 5 minutes from my house. I live near Hollyvale and Airline. Every when do yall meet up?
Maybe? I talked to a couple guys at Autorama but i'm bad with names. I use to be in a couple of truck clubs a couple years back also. This is my dodge.
A bunch of us get together at the Dark Horse Taven on washington, 2P.M. first Sunday every month, which is this Sunday.
