  2. Damn dude!! That looks like the place at Lake Tahoe!! We ended up there two years ago, when we were on our way to Bonneville!!
Those boats f*ckin' rule!! All Riva's and Chris Craft!! Some of the coolest things I've ever seen!!
I was already getting my photo albums to scan some pics but I recognize some of the same boats in this thread as we've seen back then...

  3. Oh, haha... I just spotted "Tahoe wooden boat show" on top of the thread...

Tahoe is to cl***ic wooden boats what Pebble Beach is to cl***ic cars. Nice to see "Banshee" there again. It won Peoples Choice last year, considered to be the premiere award for that show.

Here are a few more pics of the boat when it was nearing the end of restoraion in Roy Domke's shop here in Sonoma County. It's a Western Fairliner, about 30 of them built in Seattle in '45-'46.

Thanks for the photos, I was just up at Tahoe all last week, I wanted to go to north shore for the boat show but that didn’t go over well (no motor head **** on vacation) with the lovely wife. [IMG]

My boss has a Hacker Craft with a 354 hemi he takes up there for six weeks (must be nice) every summer.
If you think old cars are a lot of work, try old wood boats. As soon as you think your done you mite as well start over. [IMG]
