Sorry if someone already started one like this. I searched and didn't see one. Anyway, I've made a resolution to get (and keep) my garage organized in '09. I've also resolved to get my '62 Chevy C10 in paint before my birthday in August. Anyone else make car related resolutions for the new year besides me, or am I the only one that goofy?

  2. Finish what I have and not buy anymore projects and write down peoples names and what tool they borrowed so I know who to be mad at when I can't find what I need

  3. Finish my coupe by march 09

  4. Loose enough weight to fit in a T-bucket.

CLEAN did I say CLEAN, clean the shop, put stuff away then clean the garage, put stuff away ---- THEN dive into my 40 ford coupe project which has been taking up space in the garage for over 3 years now or maybe start building another 40 pickup that's hanging out in a garage that I rent. well either way I want to start in a clean garage and shop in 09. start with the ch***is then I'll decide coupe or pickup. one thing I do know - nailhead for power, the time has come to get that off the floor too in 09.

Amen to that! I'm going to drop 35-40 lbs in the coming year. Should take about .43 seconds off my ET's. :D

Seriously though, I was Santa at the Voodoo Dolls Toys For Tots event and had to drive up in a red T bucket. Good God! I had to put my left foot on the header and my right nut on the other side of the shifter! Can't do anything about my 6'2" frame, but I can drop some tonnage for sure!

Less time on the computer, more time driving and wrenching.

My resolution is to get out of my rental home into my own place, get my future shop set up and ready to work, and get my `57 going by mid spring. Hopefully, in the mean time, I will lose about 35 or 40 lbs myself...It ****s getting old and fat, man...

Well, since my youngest just said "Dad, Are you on the HAMB again?" ... I guess my resolution is to spend less time on the H.A.M.B. ... and more time with my family.

I resolve to drive it every other day, working on it only to the point that whatever I do it will be driveable the next day as scheduled.

Get The Widow Wagon running so I can drive my 8th grader to school in a flat black and white '57 Chevy 2dr wagon g***er with white-wall pie crusts and open fenderwell headers.

Other things I WANT to do, that one I HAVE to do.

Burn as much gas as I can in my 36 Nash. The stuff is cheap now and I've held back the last couple of years. Target: 5,000 miles from May-Oct. And 2,000 in the 63 Nova too.

..........my little contribution to stimulating the economy.

Sort out the rear axle in my '49 Ford coupe and install the nailhead. With a little luck I'll be able to afford a disk brake kit so I can get it to stop as well as go.....

And yeah, dropping 35-40 lbs would definately be cool as well. Since I work in an office and can't afford a gym membership I'll have to tell the wife we need to have *** daily to work off the calories.:D

  29. JEEZ. I spend every waking minute thinking "car ****", as my Ex puts it. So, I don't think there would be anything different from my daily thoughts to add to a New Year's resolution. My mind is on "full tilt" already

  30. Same resolution as last year...
    FINISH EVERYTHING!
    What will probably happen...
Drag home more krap, finish nothing.
